·    Translate the DNA code into the correct RNA strand and interpret the correct amino acids that would be produced

·    Be able to identify the different partial DNA strands based on evolutionary differences

·    Describe the contribution Gregor Mendel made to the study of genetics

·    Identify and describe the Mendel’s Laws as they apply genetics

·    Explain how the Laws of Probability are utilized in genetics and demonstrated by Punnett Squares

Monohybrid Crosses

·    Compare and contrast genotypes and phenotypes

·    Demonstrate how to use a Punnett Square to predict the outcomes of monohybrid crosses
